It smoothes out the wrinkles under and around your eyes. I put it on one eye and looked in the mirror - the difference between my eyes was obvious. The eye to which the gel was applied to was virtually without fine lines/wrinkles. I'm 26 years old, so my skin is smooth overall. I do have puffy eyes though and got the gel for the puffiness. I definitely recommend this product.
